Americans Fear Government Civil Liberties Abuses More Than Terrorism

by Monica Davis After decades of being confronted with mysterious terrorists from around the world, and being forced to endure invasive searches at airports, and cameras on the streets, a new poll finds that, for the first time since 9/11, Americans are now more worried about civil liberties abuses from their own government than terrorism What a suprise. Militarized police forces turn the nation's streets in to war zones, as the surveillance state grows beyond control. The saga of Wikileaks and Bradley Manning continue to show Americans just how much they have been spied on, surveilled, and observed by bureaucrats and national security. By now Americans are cynical, suspicious and angry.
